Temporary Positions Available at the Dependency Center

Are you a social worker looking to support individuals dealing with addiction, dependency, and mental health issues? We are seeking two temporary workers for the Dependency Center. These positions are temporary for one year.

At the Dependency Center, we work with adults over 18 years old who have dependency conditions and co-occurring disorders. Our operations are based at Mälarsjukhuset. As a new colleague, you will be welcomed by a highly competent team that supports each other. You will receive an introduction and support from our senior social worker, and have opportunities for continuous professional development.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

You will investigate, assess, decide, and follow up on cases according to the laws SoL, LVM, and LVU. In meetings with our clients, you will work using the ASI method, conducting assessments of the client's life areas, and using the MI conversation methodology.

We collaborate with both external providers such as correctional services, Region Sörmland's psychiatry and healthcare, and internal units. You will conduct home visits as part of your job and travel primarily to treatment homes. You will have close access to colleagues and team leaders for support in your daily work. Our goal is to support and help individuals lead independent lives.

QUALIFICATIONS

You have a degree in social work or equivalent education and experience that the employer deems equivalent. It is beneficial if you have experience in public authority work, preferably documentation experience and knowledge of SoL, LVM, and LVU. In this role, you need to have a valid driver's license (B). Experience working with addiction and mental health issues is a plus. Additionally, if you have studied Dependency Conditions (12 credits) and/or Evidence-Based Psychiatry (7.5 credits) and have knowledge of ASI and MI, it is an advantage.

To thrive in this role, you need to have an interest in our target group with dependency issues, often accompanied by co-occurring disorders. Since the work involves close contact with clients and their families, you need to be confident, professional, and have a humble approach in these meetings. It is important that you can work independently, take responsibility, and prioritize your tasks, adjusting your day as needed. You naturally enjoy collaboration and excel at it.

OTHER

The Social Administration is responsible for creating social security for children, youth, and adults. The goal is to work towards achieving social sustainability. Within the Social Administration, qualified and well-developed social work is conducted. The administration's work includes both public authority functions and treatment and support interventions for children, youth, adults, and families.
